The European RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Guideline restricts the use of certain substances considered hazardous to the environment and to humans. Environmental care is present in the development process of new products, seeking to use the highest quantity possible of materials that are recyclable and have the lowest possible impact on the environment.
We genuinely believe that protecting the environment is meeting the needs of future generations. Therefore, we develop products that prioritize the conservation of natural resources. From the obtainment of the raw material, passing by manufacture and distribution, to its appropriate disposal and recycling at the end of its useful life. The efficiency of this process resulted in the achievement of the Environmental Certification – Ecological Label – granted by ABNT (Brazilian Technical Standard Association), making Furukawa the first Telecommunication and IT industry in the Brazilian market to achieve this, consequently, our line of LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) cables now have the Eco-label on their packages.
