The Laserway 2.0 Power Distribution Unit (PDU) was developed to operate in conjunction with an LGX cassette, as a consolidation point for structured cabling.
From this consolidation point, the installation will follow with a hybrid cable to the ONT, thus providing remote power to the system.
The PDU-Laserway unit was developed in two versions: one, AC / DC, with input from 90 VAC to 250 VAC and another, DC / DC, with input from 24 VDC to 48 VCC (20-60V). The internal power module converts the input voltage to -54 V and supplies the PSE module.
The PSE module distributes the -54 V voltage to eight -54 VDC / 1.15 A outputs each. The outputs are independent of each other and are protected against overcurrent and short circuit. The module has protection against voltage surges, both at the input and at each of the outputs.
The access to the outputs is made through 8 electrical terminals in pairs, with polarity identified on the front of the PSE module.
The Optical module receives a fiber cable and distributes the signal to eight optical connectors.
The PDU-Laserway 2.0 will allow the use of hybrid cable and connectorization in the field. The unit can be mounted on a wall, electro-rail, DIN rail, 19 ”rack or airtight box.
In case of failure, both the optical module and the PSE module can be replaced, avoiding the need to replace the entire Laserway PDU unit.
The PDU-Laserway 2.0 has forced ventilation to guarantee the functioning of the system within the specified temperature range.
