The AccuTube 200 micron Rollable Ribbon (RR) Outdoor/Indoor Cable features up to 3456 optical fibers in a gel-free, tube-based cable design. This cable features a new dual-rated low smoke zero halogen outer jacket allowing the cable design of 1728f and higher to be utilized farther into the conduit giving it a unique descriptor of outdoor/indoor at this fiber density. The cable’s 200-micron single-mode fibers add additional compact, lighter weight cable features in the Lightera rollable ribbon design for enhanced densification. To form these ribbons, individual 200-micron fibers are partially bonded to each other at predetermined points. These ribbons help enable highly efficient ribbon splicing and easy individual fiber breakout. The ribbon design may also be “rolled” (compacted) and routed like individual fibers to facilitate use in smaller closures and splice trays.
