ClearLite® 980-26 125/250 Optical Fiber
Clearlite 980-26 is an advanced bending insensitive coupler fiber, optimized for low splice loss to a range of fibers, including Lightera bend insensitive EDFs like LRL, LPL, MP08-G2 and HP09-G2 at both signal and pump wavelengths. It also has very low splice loss to SSMF and pump pigtails. This enables devices with the lowest net insertion loss, optimizing efficiency and noise figure.
The macrobend loss is improved compared to conventional coupler fibers, allowing for very compact devices.
Clearlite 980-26 has been developed for WDMs, but can also be used for other fused components such as 1550 nm couplers. As the Clearlite 980-26 splices well to both SMF, 980 nm pump pigtails and EDFs, it is attractive to form WDMs using ClearLite 980-26 on both input legs, which eliminates the need for pre-pulling.
Because of its excellent bend properties and ability to splice to a wide range of fibers, the ClearLite 980-26 may also be used to interconnect fibers with dissimilar mode field diameters.
