Lightera Showcases Mid-Temp PMF and SMF Innovations at ECOC 2025
Copenhagen, Denmark — September 29, 2025 — Lightera, a global leader in optical fiber and connectivity solutions, is proud to announce its latest advancements in mid-temperature Polarization Maintaining Fiber (PMF) and Single Mode Fiber (SMF) technologies at the 51st European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC 2025), held at the Bella Center in Copenhagen from September 29 to October 1.
At Stand C3329, Lightera will unveil its TruePhase® 125/245 Mid-Temp PMF, engineered to withstand the rigors of solder reflow processing while maintaining polarization integrity and bend insensitivity. Operating at 1550 nm, this fiber supports bends down to a 5 mm radius with negligible loss, making it ideal for compact, high-performance photonic systems that demand high temperature processing and/or elevated operating temperatures.
“TruePhase Mid-Temp PMF is a breakthrough for photonic integration,” said Rasmus Jensen, Product Market Manager, Specialty Communications. “Its ability to endure elevated temperatures and maintain signal fidelity opens new possibilities for next-generation optical systems.”
To complement the PMF, a bend insensitive SMF is also introduced, offering the same solder reflow processing compatibility.
ECOC attendees are invited to explore Lightera’s full portfolio, including multicore fiber (MCF), hollowcore fiber (HCF), and fusion splicing innovations. Demonstrations will include MCF demo boxes, submarine cable applications, and sensing technologies developed in Denmark.
