The coating offers easy mechanical stripping and is compatible with either carbon or PYROCOAT® polyimide coatings, or both, when various combinations of hermeticity and/or high temperature resistance are needed. Launch fibers can also be metalized for hermetic sealing into opto-electronic devices.
