OFS’ standard supplier of riser-grade PVC resins is having production quality issues that are negatively impacting OFS’ ability to produce cable to customer expectations. Although OFS and this supplier are working diligently to resolve these issues, there is no resolution date for them as of yet. As such OFS proposes use of an alternate, significantly more expensive PVC jacketing compound, which is typically used for Plenum grade cable jacketing. UL has approved this substitution, and this substitution will have no impact on performance, form, fit or function of these cables. In the short term, OFS intends to ship cables with this alternate jacket material, at no added cost to customers. While this issue is being resolved, customers may receive cables with either jacketing material.|OFS’ standard supplier of riser-grade PVC resins is having production quality issues that are negatively impacting OFS’ ability to produce cable to customer expectations.
