Furukawa Electric's Snap-Beam™ Connector has received the Fibre Infrastructure Innovation Award at the ECOC Exhibition Industry Awards 2026 in Málaga, Spain.
Developed for co-packaged optics (CPO) and photonic integrated circuits (PICs), Snap-Beam is a compact, detachable multi-fiber optical connector designed to enable high-density optical connections for next-generation data centers.
The award recognizes the technology’s potential to support faster, more energy-efficient optical communications infrastructure as AI and hyperscale data center demands continue to grow.
