It is designed with a higher NA to allow for improved bend performance, a critical fiber parameter in sensor applications where fiber is wound on small diameter coils. This design also offers a shorter beat length for increased birefringence and better crosstalk over longer lengths.
The fiber coating is a dual UV acrylate with a diameter of 250 μm. The fiber is proof tested to 200 kpsi.
